Belfast Women of the World presents:

Mega clothes/accessories/lotions and potions swap - calling all girls!

Refresh your wardrobe AND your dressing table!

Once again, Belfast Women of the World are hosting a big, multicultural swap of clothes, accessories and lotions and potions. Simply bring along a total of (at least) 3 items of unwanted clothing, accessories (hats / scarves / belts / bags / shoes / jewellery / hair ornaments etc) or creams / lotions / sprays / perfumes etc. and then see what you fancy for yourself! There will also be dancing, refreshments and more...

Free of charge but donations to Belfast Friendship Club will be gratefully accepted so that we can continue to offer a warm welcome to all.

The Northern Ireland Community of Refugees and Asylum Seekers (NICRAS) presents:

An evening of international music

A Belfast-based band with musicians from Zimbabwe, Poland, Slovakia and Ireland will perform a dynamic interpretation of African rhythms. There will also be a special Samba music performance by wider community members and led by Chidambaram.

Donations welcome in aid of the NICRAS destitution fund.

ArtsEkta and Smallworld Music present:

The Lord Mayor's Parade: One World, One Future, One Vision

The aim is to harness the wide and varied talent available from all sectors of Belfast society to increase a sense of belonging. Plans for the parade element will focus on showcasing Northern Ireland culture and heritage alongside that of the four main ethnic groups living in Northern Ireland including Eastern European, Indian, Chinese and African cultures.

The parade will leave Writer's Square at 12.00, arriving at the City Hall by 13.00 where there will be a celebration concert within the grounds during the afternoon.

The Westcourt Centre in association with the Red Barn Gallery presents:

Hidden Quarter: a photographic exhibition of homelessness in Belfast

This exhibition offers a unique insight into what it’s like to be homeless in Belfast from three individual and personal perspectives of men who experienced homelessness within the past year. The aim was to reflect their experiences by documenting what they had gone through to show others.

The Westcourt Centre is a voluntary organisation that offers education, learning and support for early-school leavers and other marginalised groups, promoting social inclusion and reducing disadvantage through education.

Stories and crafts

A summer craft/story time session for 3 - 8 year olds. Places are limited so booking is essential (028 9050 9204).

Come along and hear about what your library can offer. Library staff will deliver storytelling and craft sessions to entertain children on the day but also showcase what they do on a regular basis. Parents and carers can find out about 'Bookstart', a free gifting scheme for babies and toddlers, enjoy a fun visit to the library, meet the staff informally and find out more about the inclusive and free service available to members. In particular, the event will demonstrate the pleasure to be gained from listening to stories and the value of introducing books into children's lives at an early age. Free of charge. Refreshments will be served.
