To launch Belfast Inclusion Festival 2011

The Welcome Organisation presents:

Hostel

A warm, funny and thought-provoking play showing the human face of homelessness

Brought to you by Belfast’s own Kabosh theatre company, ‘Hostel’ tells the story of Maria, a young woman getting a degree and who’s going places. Then she gets pregnant and - suddenly - she’s written off. Placed in sheltered accommodation, she discovers a world beyond hooped earrings and pyjamas through friendship, night feeds and WKD. Written and directed by Belfast born Fionnuala Kennedy and based on the playwright’s own experience of living in a hostel for young families, the play contains strong language and its narrative challenges societal labeling.

Inclusion: moving beyond ‘us’ and ‘them’

Launching Belfast Inclusion Festival 2011 and as part of the Welcome Organisation’s agenda for driving change, the performance will be followed by an open discussion facilitated by Stephanie Mitchell, South Belfast Roundtable on Racism.

If you would like to attend, please contact Tommy Shaw on 028 9024 0424 since places are limited.
