Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) present:

Screening of film: 'In this world' (88mins)

To mark Refugee Week, LMHR are pleased to feature this acclaimed film by director Michael Winterbottom. It tells the story of Enayat and Jamal who are fleeing from Afghanistan, and their treacherous journey in a bid to reach a better life in London.

The film will be followed by a discussion and a performance of spoken word by Scream Blue Murmur.

An integration showcase

Windsor Women's Centre have a history of actively promoting interaction between women of different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds and welcoming those who are new to the area.

This event will celebrate the success of some recent integration projects through photo exhibitions, short presentations and narratives by members of the Centre's multi-cultural group. Their tutors, and local women, students and staff of the Centre will also be involved.

After the death of her mother, Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou), a young innocent woman with a fertile imagination, decides she wants to help people straighten out their lives. Along the way she discovers love in this charming and romantic comic fantasy from director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (2hrs 2mins, French with subtitles, certificate 15).

Although this is open to the public at the usual ticket prices as part of QFT's regular programme, a limited number of free tickets are also available.

WIG are marking their 30 year anniversary with this celebration event, bringing together women and their families from all areas of Belfast to review the achievements of the WIG and explore women's actions in retaining links even at the height of the 'Troubles'. There will be visual displays of 'women in the crossfire' and 'women who made the difference!' along with a range of activities to keep even the smallest visitor happy including: a bouncy castle, a magic show, balloon modelling and face painting.

WIG will provide transport to and from the venues and arrange pick up points all over Belfast to accommodate everyone.
